IPMA conducts an annual awards programme that recognises excellence and innovation by project managers and project teams. The awards for projects are based on the IPMA Project Excellence Model, a key part of the global standard: IPMA Project Excellence Baseline©. The individual awards are based on IPMA’s global standard for individual project management, the Individual Competence Baseline© v4 (ICB4). The Research Award Winners come from disciplines other than project management but must contribute to the development of project, programme or portfolio management. The IPMA Global Award winners profit from benefits such as receiving the highest international honour for excellent project performance. Additional benefits are worldwide recognition, systematic feedback about the strengths and improvement potential of the individual and/or project performance as well as marketing opportunities for the individual or organisation’s achievements on a global scale. Project team members who participate in the IPMA Global Project Excellence Award gather experiences that help them in managing further projects and enhancing their careers.
